I am William DiPaolo, co-founder and chief executive officer of San Diego based Cogent Road Inc. Together with my partner Alan Baia, Cogent Road’s president and all around great guy, we’re building a software company based on Software as a Service (SaaS) applications that help mortgage lenders get more done with fewer resources.
Cogent Road’s main application, Funding Suite®, is advanced credit report management software for mortgage lenders. Using automated credit proofreading tools, our software detects and corrects credit errors and issues, delivering more accurate, and often higher, credit scores as a result. Cogent Road also makes AVAIL Automated Mortgage Qualifying software and Roohmz Mortgage, a unique paperless origination system that integrates social networking tools.
All of our applications grow out of solving problems uncovered during interactive dialog with mortgage lenders. We thrive on innovation and customarily introduce unique software features and functions to an industry uncomfortable with trying new things. We are compelled by this challenge – which can be both rewarding and frustrating.
Cogent Road has no outside investors – and no debt. We are growing because we build software clients want, at a price that generates a profit. It isn’t easy, but it is a very enjoyable experience. I hope this blog illustrates the ups and downs of our journey.
